1. Acceptance of Terms
   By downloading, accessing, or using the Roam application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
   
   

2. About Roam
   Roam is a language immersion application built around short videos of people sharing their stories, opinions and moments from their lives. Learners watch authentic speech from people across the world and can save vocabulary, and build a personal library of words and phrases. The App is currently in beta and features may change without notice.
   
   

3. User Accounts
   To use Roam you must provide your name and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
   
   

4. Acceptable Use
   You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, download or redistribute any video content or captions from the App

• Share your account with others

• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract data from the App

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

  
  

5. Intellectual Property
   All video content, captions, speaker recordings, branding, and design elements within the App are the property of Roam or its content contributors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission.
   
   

6. Your Data
   We collect your name, email address, selected language level, and in-app usage data. This data is stored securely and used solely to provide and improve the Roam service. We do not sell your data to third parties. By using the App you consent to this data collection in accordance with our Privacy Policy. As a UK-based company we comply with UK GDPR.
   
   

7. Beta Service
   Roam is currently in beta. The App is provided as-is during this period. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and features may be added, changed, or removed without notice. We appreciate your feedback in helping us improve the product.
   
   

8. Subscription & Payment
   Roam is currently free to use during the beta period. When paid subscription plans are introduced, you will be notified in advance. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation policies will be clearly communicated at that time.
   
   

9. Video Content & Speakers
   All individuals appearing in Roam video content have given their informed consent to be filmed and for their content to be used within the App for language learning purposes.
   
   

10. Disclaimer
    Roam is an educational tool designed to support language learning. We make no guarantee of fluency or specific learning outcomes. Results will vary depending on individual effort and usage.
    
    

11. Limitation of Liability
    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding any claim.
    
    

12. Termination
    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, without prior notice.
    
    

13. Changes to These Terms
    We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
    
    

14. Governing Law
    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
